Frequently asked questions

  • Don't set it aside — those responses matter to your case. Scan or photograph the document and send it to your credit analyst as soon as possible so it can be factored into your ongoing dispute strategy.

  • Yes. Our agreement allows you to cancel anytime with 10 days' written notice by email. Keep in mind that because billing happens in arrears, it's common to have one final payment reflecting work already completed before cancellation takes effect.

  • Plans are generally chosen based on budget, timeline, or a mix of both. Our Standard plan is the most affordable while still taking an aggressive approach. Our Plus plan is more comprehensive and unlimited — meaning every eligible item on your report gets challenged, which increases your overall chances of success. Our Legal Premiere plan involves our legal team most directly, using certified mail for investigations, which is the best fit if you're working against a tight timeline.

  • No. We don't pull a traditional hard-inquiry credit report. Instead, we use a soft-pull credit monitoring service, which has no negative impact on your score. You'll have ongoing access to monitor your own credit throughout the program.

  • After your initial audit, you'll review a detailed credit audit report and a customized dispute plan with your assigned credit analyst. You'll have the chance to review each item and flag anything you know is inaccurate before disputes go out. You won't be charged the audit fee until after your consultation is complete.

  • FICO certification means our coaches have completed formal training on how the FICO scoring model actually calculates your score — not just general credit knowledge, but the specific weighting of factors like utilization, length of history, and account mix. It's part of why our coaching goes beyond disputes into building a strategy tailored to how your score is actually calculated.

  • Pricing depends on the scope of work your credit file needs. We go over exact costs during your free consultation once we've reviewed your reports, since a file with a handful of items needs a different plan than one with extensive history to address. You can also see our different plans on our website that can give you a better idea of the scope and cost of the program.

  • Yes — this is one of the most common reasons clients come to us, and timing matters. If you have a specific closing timeline, mention it during your consultation so your coach can prioritize the disputes and coaching steps most likely to move your score before your mortgage application.

  • No credit repair company can legally guarantee a specific score increase or guarantee item removal, since outcomes depend on your individual credit file and how bureaus and creditors respond. What we can tell you is our process and success rate for clients who follow their coaching plan, which we're happy to walk through in a free consultation.

  • Yes. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, you have the legal right to dispute inaccurate, unverifiable, or outdated information on your credit reports. Credit repair companies like Elevate My Scores help you exercise that right efficiently and correctly — we don't create new information or hide accurate negative history, which no legitimate company can do.
